Rozina Ali
Rozina Ali is a fellow at Type Media Center. Her reporting and essays on the Middle East, the War on Terror and Islamophobia in the United States have appeared in The New Yorker, Foreign Affairs, Harper’s, The Nation, Columbia Journalism Review, the Guardian, New York Times, Al Jazeera America and others. She was on the editorial staff of The New Yorker from 2015 to 2019, and was previously a senior editor at the Cairo Review of Global Affairs based in Cairo, Egypt.
As a Logan Nonfiction Program fellow, she will be working on a narrative book of Islamophobia in the United States over the past three decades. It investigates why anti-Muslim sentiment is worse now than it was after the 9/11 attacks.
