Eloise King
Eloise King is an award-winning director and executive producer. She has worked for BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazeera English, VICE ITV, MTV and A&E. Her previous titles, as a director and/or producer, include: “The Gatherings” (Grierson nominated), “Kids Behind Bars” (ITV/ A&E), “Pin and Needles” (Broadcast Award nominated) and “Gurls Talk” (LOVIE/WEBBY Award). As a former Global Executive Producer at VICE & i-D she led commissioning for a multi-award-winning international documentary team. Eloise has also directed commercial projects for Louis Vuitton, Nike and Twitter. Her work has been exhibited at The ICA, Tate Britain, V&A and MoAD. In 2015, she founded Women on Docs, a screening and skill-sharing networks in London & Los Angeles celebrating the contribution of women to documentary film. In 2018/2020, Eloise was recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Campaign and Creative Equals’ list of future female leaders defining creativity and a BFI and BAFTA keynote speaker. Eloise is a 2020 Field of Vision grantee and alumna of The Edinburgh International Television Festival ‘Ones to Watch’ talent program and as named a Sheffield Documentary Festival ‘Future Producer.’
As a Logan fellow, Eloise will work on her first feature documentary, “The Untitled Scholars project,” which represents a collaborative endeavor with Riel Roch-Decter from Memory Studios and is based on the research of Professor Patricia Kingori, a sociologist at the University of Oxford. Professor Kingori’s work considers fakes and their existence as a useful device to explore many features of contemporary society.
