Ann Bennett
Ann Bennett is a documentary filmmaker, multimedia producer, teaching artist and disability rights advocate. As a storyteller, her mission has been to research and uplift the stories of people who are often left out of the “official record” of history and culture. Throughout her career as a mediamaker, Ann has worked on projects that foreground the stories of women, people of color and people with differing abilities.
As a Logan fellow, Ann will work on her film, “Razing Liberty Square,” directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Katja Essan. The feature-length documentary explores climate gentrification by following the redevelopment of an historic African American public housing project in Miami and its impact on long-time residents.
