Peter Klein
Peter Klein (2022) is the founder of the Global Reporting Centre, a nonprofit media organization focused on producing and innovating journalism on under-reported issues around the world. He was a producer with CBS News 60 Minutes, and has produced documentary projects for many of the major American news programs, including FRONTLINE, Nightline and 20/20. He was creator and director of the Emmy-nominated History Channel investigative documentary series “Beyond Top Secret,” senior producer of the documentary series “I-Witness,” and has directed or produced more than 30 hours of documentary throughout his career, for which he has been honored with three Emmy Awards, as well as numerous Sigma Delta Chi, Edward R. Murrow, Overseas Press Club, and Canadian Association of Journalists awards. He is former director of the University of British Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where he continues to serve as a professor, teaching investigative and global reporting.
As a Logan fellow, Peter will be working on the feature documentary “Bribe, Inc.” The film explores the Hobbesian nature of global commerce and looks at the broader issues around global corruption.
